		From 2001. If he had taken this role we might not have gotten
		TIOBE (according to what the filming schedule could have been)

Possession - David or Philip		with Jessica Lange
(novel by Peter James)		Having purchased the rights to this book Jessica Lange let out a press release
		stating she wanted Colin in this movie and hoped to start filming 'soon'
		Nothing ever came of it.

Good - as John Halder		with Jason Isaacs
		Colin dropped out at the end of 2005 (I think it was creative differences)
		Third director (Vicente Amorim) and third lead actor (Viggo Mortensen)
		later it was finally filmed in 2007. A non-specific 2008 release is listed at IMDb.
		Has since screened at film festivals in 2008, including TIFF. Reviews are mixed at best.

The Dead Wait - 'Papa' Loew		with James McAvoy
		Announced in 2003. This was also on again, off again. The cast never changed
		but the shooting locales and dates did. Eventually finding Marc Evans (MOTM,
		Trauma) as the director, there was renewed interest in it being done in early
		2006. Eventually it was removed (again) from his projects

The Moon Princess - as Sir Benjamin		with Dakota Blue Richards
		Colin withdrew due to a scheduling conflict. (He was filming
		Mamma Mia! and Genova at the time.) Replaced by
		Ioan Gruffyd, the movie is being shown at Film Festivals in 2008

Carmen - as Don Jose		with Kate Beckinsale
		Based on an August 2006 article (in Spanish no less). Supposed to be filmed
		starting September 2006. (In Vilafames) We all know this didn't happen.

Gambit - as Harry Dean		with Ben Kingsley
		A Jennifer Anniston project since 2003. Colin's involvement (with BK) was
		announced at Cannes in 2005. Then they went on to make TLL instead. Recent
		'talk' has put it back in the projects column, though status is listed as unknown.

Year of Wonders - as Michael Mompellion		with Liv Tyler
		Announced in March 2006. A mere blurb announcing that the
		casting of Colin in this "Plague" movie was confirmed.
		Nothing more has been heard of it.

Quadrille - Walter or Anton		with Madonna
		Has been in the rumor mills for......ever (since 1999)
		and again in 2005. The original info came out when
		he was filming Relative Values

La Fenice - as Commissario Brunetti		with Peter O'Toole
		Announced in 2005. Have heard nothing more.

Toyer - as Peter Matson/Toyer		with Juliette Binoche
		On again, off again, Toyer had been in the pipeline
		for three years, but, finally it was removed from IMDb
		altogether and nothing has been posted at the DePalma site
		in quite some time.

Small Wonder -		with Emily Blount
aka - Seventh Heaven		A movie to be produced and directed by Stanley Tucci, announced in
		late 2006 to be filmed spring 2007. It never happened. Tucci stated
		he wanted Colin in the lead role. The film has been renamed
		Seventh Heaven and is listed at Hollywood.com. No other info

Sylvia - Ted Hughes		with Gwyneth Paltrow
		Dropped out of contention refusing to have to do a screen test
		for the male lead. (Don't blame him) The role went to Daniel Craig,
		was released in 2003 and did not fair well.

The Colossus		Announced after Cannes in 2006. Movie based on the novel
		"Manly Pursuits." On again, off again with Susan Sarandon,
		Ian McKellan. Q asked at TIFF 2008 about said project. No specific
		filming date or cast has been set. Several actors have stated they would
		like to do this if they can ever work out schedules. 8 October, 2008, film
		still listed on IMDB, but cast names removed. No longer on Colin's projects.
